Financial Planning for Children with Disabilities

Do you have a child with a disability or do you teach students with disabilities. It is very important that parents are thinking about their child's life after high school.

Some Ideas:
Meet with a financial planner who specializes in adults with disabilities.
Talk with your child about their goals and dreams.
Take transition planning in the IEP seriously.
Students with intellectual disabilities can attend college. http://www.thinkcollege.net/
Plan for college or other post-secondary options.
Have a plan encase you pass.
